Los Angeles, CA - FX has announced the premiere of its new comedy-drama series, "The Bear," starring Jeremy Allen White as a young chef from the fine dining world who comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop after a heartbreaking death in his family.
White, best known for his role as Lip Gallagher in "Shameless," will play Carmy Berzatto, an award-winning chef who reluctantly returns to his roots after the unexpected death of his brother, Michael. With a stellar cast that includes Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, and Liza Colón-Zayas, "The Bear" promises to be a captivating and heartwarming exploration of food, family, and the challenges of running a small business.
The series is created by Christopher Storer, who previously worked on "Ramy" and "Silicon Valley." It is executive produced by Storer, Hiro Murai, Nate Matteson, Joanna Calo, and Tyson Bidner. "The Bear" is set to premiere on FX on Hulu in the summer of 2023.
