Two people have been killed and eight others injured in an active shooter incident at Mad Butcher Grocery in Fordyce, Arkansas, according to state police. The incident occurred on Friday shortly after noon local time. A suspect is in custody, but the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots inside the store. Police arrived on the scene within minutes and confronted the suspect, who was armed with an assault rifle. The suspect was shot and taken into custody. The victims were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
